Next Thursday (Oct 15th) Black Cab will be dropping into the Triple R performance space to play a set for the Spring Loaded Series.

The performance will be airing live on Triple R 102.7FM and streaming at rrr.org.au

Melbourne fans are in for a treat this weekend as the band are launching their album at the Espy's Gershwin Room in St Kilda on Saturday the 29th of August.

Making a special guest apperance will be Died Pretty's Ron Peno who contributed his talents to the track Ghost Anthems.
Black Cab will also be supported by Sand Pebbles and The Sun Blindness.

The band rarely play live and their last show at the Northcote Social Club completely sold out.

Black Cab Melbourne single launch this Friday

A few weeks ago we blogged Black Angels, the first taste from Black Cab's forthcoming third ablum Call Signs.

The track is a tribute to ‘70’s tragic singer song-writing genius Judee Sill, one of Geffen Records earliest signings whose life ended in the late ‘70’s in drug hazed obscurity.

This Friday the band will launch it as a double single with another track from the album, entitled Rescue.

After an extended break Black Cab release a new double single from their forthcoming third album, Call Signs. The single features ‘Rescue’ and ‘Black Angel’, a tribute to ‘70’s tragic singer song-writing genius Judee Sill, one of Geffen Records earliest signings whose life ended in the late ‘70’s in drug hazed obscurity. The bands’ third album Call Signs is due out August 1st on Sydney’s Laughing Outlaw label, distributed through Inertia.

The double single will be released in late June and the band will be launching the single at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Friday July 17th. The band will be touring Sydney and Brisbane in September.
