New Newman track

As promised, we have a brand new track from A.C. Newman's upcoming album Get Guilty. Following on from the first mp3 There Are Maybe Ten Or Twelve we bring you Submarines of Stockholm (edited version) [mp3]

Get Guilty is the follow up to Newman's 2004 solo debut The Slow Wonder which Pitchfork described as "soulful sing-alongs with grit, pop nuggets that hold up to hours of repeat play, and ultimately, the sound of a great songwriter hitting his stride."

Get Guilty is another showcase of Newman's fascinating blend of catchiness and impenetrability. The album is due out in January.

Rather than just talking about them, Newman has gone one step better by performing one of their tracks at a recent solo show at the Bell House in Brooklyn.
