Dark Was The Night concert in NY this weekend


From 4ad, for the lucky buggers of NYC:

This weekend sees the special Dark Was The Night Live event in New York take place.

Happening at the famed Radio City Music Hall on Sunday evening (May 3rd), The National, David Byrne, Feist, Bon Iver, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio), The Dirty Projectors and My Brightest Diamond are all confirmed to appear and they be both performing songs from Dark Was The Night and other material as part of mini-sets and also numerous collaborations.

If you're in the city, please do come and join us celebrate Dark Was The Night. Some tickets are still available from here. All proceeds will benefit the Red Hot Organization and its mission to combat the AIDS pandemic. You can learn more about the project here.

For the unaware, Dark Was The Night is a 31 track charity compilation that both Aaron and Bryce Dessner from The National produced on behalf the Red Hot Organization, which was released by 4AD earlier in the year. More information here.
